President - Nathan Wubbena
Nathan Wubbena received his Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 2011, and his Master of Music in Music Education with a Conducting Specialization at Colorado State University in 2018. Nathan has taught students from elementary to high school to adults, on both the Front Range and Western Slope, in curricular and private settings. He has had extensive experience teaching choral, musical theater, and contemporary a cappella genres, and is an accomplished performer in each. In 2015, he received the Outstanding Young Music Educator Award from the Colorado Music Educators Association, which honors outstanding achievement in an educator with up to 5 years of experience. His experience and recognition have since resulted in him being requested as guest clinician throughout the state of Colorado. He is Chair Emeritus of the Colorado Middle All State Choir board, of which he was a founding board member. He resides in Longmont with his wife, Anna, and his son, James, and enjoys cheering for the Broncos and spending time outdoors with his family and two dogs. He is the co-founder of this organization, and is also the Co-Artistic Director of the Boulder Children's Chorale. |
Co-Founder - Timothy Jones (Mister Tim)
Mister Tim is a prolific and award-winning singer, composer, actor, teacher, artistic director and conductor. He has performed around the world in thousands of shows with dozens of performing groups. He has performed on the stage of America's Got Talent, was a headline performer on the Las Vegas Strip, and has appeared in movies, on television, and in numerous viral internet hits. As one of the leading innovators in modern a cappella music, Mister Tim has created more than a dozen award-winning groups that have toured around the world. His groups include 2010 International Harmony Sweepstakes Champions Plumbers of Rome, comedy quartet and internet celebrities moosebutter, all-'80s party rockers Rubix, indie-rock vocal band THROAT, beatbox quartet Mouth Beats, and the world's first (and only?) a cappella heavy metal band Placental Armageddon. Mister Tim performs around the globe with his solo vocal live-looping show, with a cappella acts, and other musical endeavors. He is the co-founder of this organization. |
Treasurer - Terry Wubbena
Terry Wubbena is a retired computer programmer. He grew up in Iowa, and received his Bachelors' and Masters' Degrees in Computer Science, from Iowa State University and the University of Wisconsin, respectively. He has extensive experience serving on the boards of the churches he has attended, and has fulfilled the role of treasurer during his tenures. He now enjoys his time at home, pursuing various hobbies and spending time with his wife, two children, grandchildren, and dog. |
Secretary - Becca Jones
Becca Jones is an educator, wife, and businesswoman. She has extensive experience in all of these areas and an admirable attention to detail, in addition to a wonderfully kind and caring personality. |
Board Member - Buddy Brown
Dewey R. “Buddy” Brown currently owns and operates nearly 300 Hardee’s Restaurants, 10 Carl’s Jr.’s, 3 Dunkin Donuts, 1 Taco Bell and a Pizza Hut Express. Buddy has been an Operator and Partner in Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s since 1998 and has been involved in restaurant operations for over 30 years from California, to Hawaii, to Colorado. Buddy lived in Germany on an Air Force Base until he was 13, then moved with his family to Missouri where he attended high school and received his MBA from the University of Missouri. He then headed to California to begin his career. He now lives in Boulder, Colorado with his wife, Lisa, and daughter, Emma. The Browns are big animal lovers as well, as they have 2 dogs, a cat, lots of chickens and 7 rescue horses. |
Board Member - Lisa Lund-Brown
Lisa runs the the Edward O. Lund Foundation, which honors the work and life of Edward Lund by providing scholarships and organizing community events around the arts and cycling. In the spirit of Ed, the Foundation fully funds scholarships for Study Abroad Programs for qualifying CSU, Fresno art students each year. |
Board Member - Daniel Kuhlman
Daniel is a real estate agent by day, and Longmont's Digital Mayor by night. He loves helping people realize their home ownership potential. He was bitten by the real estate bug when he bought his first property, a 4-plex, in 1989. He renovated it and rented it out. The next year, he inherited a rundown 100 year old barn from his grandmother and converted it in to a 2 family. He has also helped build custom homes, worked as an electrician, built three restaurants and completely renovated his own home here in Longmont’s Southmoor Park. As Digital Mayor, he enjoys sharing his interviews with Longmont's local leaders, favorite businesses and cool people doing cool stuff. |
Board Member - Janay Bird
Janay Bird taught as the Erie High School Choir Director from 2011-2020. She now serves as the St. Vrain Valley School's Fine Arts Coordinator, supporting the art, theater, and music programs in the district. A native Coloradan, she has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Music Education, both from the University of Colorado, Boulder. In addition to the SVVSD Fine Arts Coordinator, she is a Music Assistant for the Colorado Children's Chorale. An active member of NAfME and ADCA, Bird frequently attends state and regional conferences and professional development clinics. Bird is also a Northern Site Governor and Social Media Chair for the Colorado All State Choir Board. She has had the privilege of working with renowned choral/orchestral directors John Alexander (Artistic Director Emeritus of the Pacific Chorale, Professor Emeritus at Cal State Fullerton) David Hayes (Director of Orchestral & Conducting Studies at Mannes School of Music, Music Director of New York Choral Society), Duain Wolfe (Director of Chicago Symphony Chorus, Conductor of Colorado Symphony Chorus), Debbie DeSantis (Artistic Director of the Colorado Children's Chorale), and Lucinda Carver (Professor and Vice-Dean at USC, Music Director of Los Angeles Mozart Orchestra), to name a few. Before joining the staff at EHS, Mrs. Bird was a substitute teacher in Jeffco and St. Vrain Valley school districts. Her past performances include the role of Rosalia in CU Opera's production of West Side Story, featured dancer in Candide (CU Opera), as well as appearances with Opera Colorado's production of Tosca and Central City Opera's production of The Ballad of Baby Doe. She has a wonderful husband, Brandon, daughter Jacquelyn, and a puppy named Biscuit! |
